Lowering Health Care Costs

Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act, people with Medicare Part D drug coverage now pay nothing out-of-pocket for even more vaccines and will experience a price cap of $35/month on insulin. For the first time, Medicare will be able to negotiate directly with manufacturers for the price of certain high-spending brand-name Medicare Part B and Part D drugs that don’t have competition.

Meet Kathy Castor

Kathy Castor is Tampa Bay’s voice in the U.S. Congress. She was elected in 2006 and represents Florida’s 14th Congressional district, which includes Tampa and parts of Hillsborough County. She is the first woman to represent Hillsborough and Pinellas counties in the U.S. Congress.
