Tampa,
October 19, 2022
U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor (FL14) celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month across the Tampa area to tout solutions for the economic squeeze, particularly the Inflation Reduction Act and H.Res. 1353 relating to Hispanic Heritage Month and celebrating the heritage and culture of Latinos in the United States and the immense contributions of Latinos to the United States. Castor knows District 14 is vibrant due to its diverse culture and strong Hispanic community. Tampa Bay neighbors shared their interest in solutions for more affordable housing, rent, health care and jobs including the American Dream and Promise Act. She held town halls, public meetings, and roundtables to bring together legal experts and community resources to highlight the contributions of immigrants to Tampa Bay’s history and the region’s economic success.
Castor will continue to fight for Tampa area neighbors and small businesses every day in Congress by focusing on lower costs, better paying jobs and safer communities - always people over politics. Here are valuable resources for our Hispanic neighbors and ways Rep. Castor continues to advocate in Washington. ### |
