ST. PETERSBURG, FL—Today, U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor (FL-14) announced the hiring of Shahra Lambert as District Advisor. Lambert brings an extensive background in government relations, public policy and community outreach, making her a valuable asset to the district. "Shahra’s exceptional experience and dedication to serving Florida families and small businesses will enhance our ability to connect with constituents and address their needs effectively," said Castor. "Her leadership, expertise, care and compassion will strengthen our outreach efforts and ensure that my neighbors in Florida’s Fourteenth Congressional District are well-represented and supported. I will count on Shahra’s counsel to ensure emergency federal support is effectively put to work as our region recovers from the devastation of last year’s hurricanes." Lambert’s impressive career includes fifteen years in leadership roles for former U.S. Senator Bill Nelson, during which time she worked on several initiatives to promote equity and community engagement. After Nelson was confirmed to lead NASA, Lambert joined the Administrator’s team as Senior Advisor. Her extensive experience with federal agencies, grassroots advocacy and strategic planning will be instrumental in advancing the district's priorities and fostering stronger connections within the community. Lambert received her master’s degree from Florida State University and has since called Florida home.
