Amidst threats by President Trump to pull out of Puerto Rico, U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor (FL14) is calling for greater attention to the health and safety of families across Tampa Bay and our fellow Americans in Puerto Rico?.

Amidst threats by President Trump to pull out of Puerto Rico, U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor (FL14) is calling for greater attention to the health and safety of families across Tampa Bay and our fellow Americans in Puerto Rico‎.  As part of the leadership of the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee, she is calling on the Trump Administration to ensure the health care needs of our most vulnerable neighbors and children in Puerto Rico in the face of devastation brought by destructive recent hurricanes.  U.S. Rep. Castor also expressed her concern to Florida Governor Rick Scott for hindering timely debris removal throughout the state with little recourse for local communities and growing health and safety concerns.  Finally, Castor called on Gov. Scott to waive Florida KidCare premiums imposed by the state just as the State of Texas has done for its families who rely on state children’s health insurance to ensure these children continue to receive the health care they need and are not penalized because of the impact of the hurricanes on working families’ budgets.
