U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor (D-Tampa/St. Petersburg, FL) sent the attached letter  to  James A. Haley VA Hospital regarding  recent media reports of rodents and pests in the hospital’s food service areas.

“I am committed to ensuring that our active and former service men and women receive the highest quality of care because they have earned it. Recent reports of pest and rodent problems are unacceptable and do not reflect the values of our patriotic community in Tampa Bay to serve to those who served all of us with the best standard of care,” U.S. Rep. Castor said. 

The letter demands a response from the hospital with plan of action to eliminate the reported substandard conditions.
