In response to ongoing Republican efforts to rip away affordable, quality health care, including protections for preexisting conditions, today, U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor (D-FL-14) introduced a resolution of opposition to the Trump Administration’s rule that would allow insurance companies to sell sub-par junk health insurance plans:

U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor (FL14) announced two big victories for MacDill Air Force Base (AFB), bolstering the base’s mission: (1) the relocation of a KC-135 Stratotanker pilot simulator to MacDill AFB to further train our airmen and women; and (2) passage of the Senator John McCain 2019 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) which includes investments for MacDill AFB and service members.

In Hillsborough County alone, arts and culture generates $433.2 million in economic activity and nearly 15,000 jobs are tied to the industry, according to report issued last year by Americans for the Arts,” U.S. Rep. WORLD CUP RESOLUTION OVERWHELMINGLY PASSES HOUSE

Last night, a resolution introduced by co-chairs of the Congressional Soccer Caucus Rep. Kathy Castor (FL-14), Rep. Darin LaHood (IL-18), Rep. Don Bacon (NE-02), and Rep. Ruben Kihuen (NV-04) passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 392 to 3. This resolution, H.Con.Res. 111, expresses the House of Representative’s support for North America’s united bid to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
