U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor announces winner of Congressional Art Competition

WORLD CUP RESOLUTION OVERWHELMINGLY PASSES HOUSE

Last night, a resolution introduced by co-chairs of the Congressional Soccer Caucus Rep. Kathy Castor (FL-14), Rep. Darin LaHood (IL-18), Rep. Don Bacon (NE-02), and Rep. Ruben Kihuen (NV-04) passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 392 to 3. This resolution, H.Con.Res. 111, expresses the House of Representative’s support for North America’s united bid to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Yesterday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the RAISE Family Caregivers Act, introduced by U.S. Reps. Kathy Castor and Gregg Harper (MS3), which marks a major step in addressing the nation’s role of caregivers. The Recognize, Assist, Include, Support, and Engage (RAISE) Family Caregivers Act is landmark legislation strongly endorsed by the AARP that will finally give caregivers the recognition they deserve.
