Appropriations Requests

Programmatic and Language Requests

Every Fiscal Year (FY), Congress appropriates funding for most of the functions of the federal government. There are 12 separate appropriations bills, each written by a subcommittee with jurisdiction over specific agencies. During the appropriations process, lawmakers have the opportunity to submit requests to the respective subcommittees expressing support for authorized programs, bill/report language, and specific funding levels.

  • Please submit a SEPARATE form for each request.
  • Requests using this form must be for general program funding support or bill or report language ONLY.
  • This form is NOT for district-specific Community Project Funding Requests.

Community Project Funding Requests

Community Project Funding (CPF) requests are congressional provisions that direct funds toward a specific project within a community. CPFs allow Members to put their deep, first-hand understanding of the needs of their communities to work to help the people we represent and make Congress more responsive.

Each Member is limited to no more than 15 CPF submissions to the Appropriations Committee for Fiscal Year 2026,  and submission of a project by a Member of Congress does not guarantee that the project will be funded by the Committee. Projects are restricted to a limited number of federal funding streams, and only state and local governments and eligible non-profit entities are eligible.

All requests submitted by Congresswoman Castor to the House Appropriations Committee are posted below. In compliance with House Rules and Committee requirements, Rep. Castor has certified that she, her spouse, and her immediate family have no financial interest in any of the projects she has requested.
