More than 50 employers will be present at the 2013 Job & Community Resource Fair, hosted by U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor, City of St. Petersburg, Tampa Bay Workforce Alliance, and WorkNet Pinellas.

The Job Fair takes place Thursday, Feb. 21, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Coliseum, 535 Fourth Ave. N. in St. Petersburg. There is no cost to attend this Job Fair.

“This event is a one-stop forum for those who are seeking job opportunities and job development resources,” said Rep. Castor. “Tampa Bay’s economy is improving and employment is up, but many of our neighbors are in search of opportunities.”

Participating employers include public and private companies recruiting for a combined 1,500 local and national positions that range from banking, customer service, education/instructional, health and medical services, among others. A complete list is provided below.

“In addition, community resources and information – from housing to health to veterans assistance – will be available at the Job Fair,” Rep. Castor said “These resources support our job seekers and sharpen their job-acquiring skills."

Organizations scheduled to be on hand with information on community resources and training opportunities are:  St. Petersburg Veterans Center, National Louis University, St. Petersburg Federal Healthy Start/All Children's Hospital, Department of Education - Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Pinellas Technical Education Centers, Pinellas County Economic Development Small Business Development Center and the MacDill Airman & Family Readiness Center.
