Rep. Kathy Castor is urging Speaker of the House John Boehner to take action against the harmful implications of the sequester to all Americans and our economic recovery. In Tampa Bay especially, these devastating cuts are inconsistent with the community’s economic recovery, forcing severe budget reductions at the wrong time and hurting some of our major economic engines -- such as the University of South Florida, Moffitt Cancer Center, MacDill Air Force Base and public schools. These not only serve as major economic drivers, but also positively impact the lives of all neighbors and certainly those most vulnerable.
