This morning, U.S. Rep. Castor (FL14) blasted Congressional Republicans and President Trump for their failure to address the challenges of American families, as Republicans offered a one-week government funding bill right before Trump's hundred day mark.

“The American people deserve better. The Republican majority is not serving the interests of the families we represent. They are not focused on lifting the economic prospects of our small businesses and hardworking families. They are not focused on lifting wages,” said U.S. Rep. Castor. “Instead, we are debating a small extension to keep the federal government open.”

As it stands, Congress has until midnight tonight to pass a spending bill or the government will run out of money and shut down.
