Today U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor (D-Tampa/St. Petersburg, FL) again attempted to bring up the bipartisan Senate-passed flood insurance bill for a vote by the U.S. House in her unrelenting fight to stem the recent flood insurance rate spike and help neighbors pounded by these hikes.

Today U.S.

Reps. Gus Bilirakis (R-Florida), Bill Cassidy (R-Illinois), Walter Jones (R-North Carolina) and Mark Sanford (R-South Carolina) supported the Democratic procedural vote to turn to flood insurance legislation.  Nevertheless, House Republican leadership allowed another week to pass without action on flood insurance.
