Castor Walks Out on Holder Contempt Vote

U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor joined with the Congressional Black Caucus today in an organized protest and "walk out" of the U.S. House chamber when Republicans called for a vote to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt.

U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor joined with the Congressional Black Caucus today in an organized protest and "walk out" of the U.S. House chamber when Republicans called for a vote to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt.

“I stand with the Congressional Black Caucus in opposing this hyper-partisan attempt to hold our Attorney General in contempt,” Castor said. “The House has never held a U.S. Attorney General in contempt. Grounds simply do not exist for such action. Due to the historic nature of General Holder’s appointment, now would be a disheartening time to start. Let’s focus on what really matters to Floridians: finding ways to create jobs in our community.”
