Today I released a video message marking Hispanic Heritage Month which started on Saturday, September 15th.

Our community is defined by and celebrates its diversity.  Together, we are stronger.  And together, as Americans, it is important to register to vote and then cast our ballots. 

DEADLINE APPROACHING TO REGISTER TO VOTE 

The last day to register to vote for the November 6, 2012 general election is Tuesday, October 9th.  Take a moment to check out this app on my website to verify you are registered to vote and to familiarize yourself with the kind of identification you need to bring with you to the polls.

I encourage you to VOTE BY MAIL this year due to the length of the ballot.  It is easy to order your ballot by contacting your Supervisor of Elections. You can track your vote online to ensure it is counted.  Find out more information about vote by mail, early voting times and locations at your local supervisor of elections:
