WASHINGTON - Chair Kathy Castor, members of the Select Committee on the Climate Crisis, and a group of special guests will join a virtual roundtable on Tuesday afternoon to discuss how climate solutions can help keep families healthy, advance environmental justice, and create more resilient communities.

The roundtable will follow the release of the Select Committee's comprehensive congressional action plan to solve the climate crisis, which will be unveiled during a press conference with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on the steps of the Capitol on Tuesday at 10 am.

BACKGROUND:
The House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis was created by Speaker Pelosi at the outset of the 116th session of Congress to make science-based policy recommendations to the standing committees of jurisdiction on how to solve the climate crisis. Those recommendations will be released on Tuesday, June 30, and will be available at climatecrisis.house.gov.
