Javier Gamboa Joins Select Committee on the Climate Crisis as Senior Professional Staff Member

WASHINGTON (January 21, 2020) - On Tuesday, the U.S. House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis announced it hired Javier Gamboa as Senior Professional Staff Member. Javier has worked in Congress for over a decade, most recently as Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director to former Democratic Congressman Jeff Van Drew (NJ-02).

Before joining Rep. Van Drew's office, Gamboa served as Senior Legislative Representative at The Trust for Public Land, where he championed efforts to increase green spaces in underserved communities. Before that, he served as Legislative Director for Rep. Nanette Barragán (CA-44); as an Energy Policy Analyst in the office of Rep. Kathy Castor (FL-14); and as Staff Assistant for former Chair Barbara Boxer (D-CA) of the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works.
