Eric Fins Joins Select Committee on the Climate Crisis as Deputy Staff Director

WASHINGTON - On Wednesday, the U.S. House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis announced it hired Eric Fins as Deputy Staff Director. Eric has worked in Congress for over twelve years, most recently in the office of former Rep. Joe Kennedy III (MA-04).

 

Over the course of his career, Eric has worked extensively on energy and environment issues, including directly with standing committees of jurisdiction and the Select Committee. A native of Massachusetts, Eric joined Rep. Kennedy's office in 2013 as a Senior Legislative Assistant and eventually became the congressman’s Legislative Director and Counsel. In this role, he focused on the implementation of offshore wind, expansion of advanced manufacturing, investment in scientific research and development, providing federal assistance to environmental justice communities, and transparency in energy regulatory markets. He previously worked on legislative issues for House Armed Services Committee Chairman Adam Smith (WA-09) and former House Science, Space, and Technology Committee Chairman Bart Gordon (TN-06).
