Chair Castor Applauds President Biden Upon Launch Of New Climate & EJ Screening Tool
WASHINGTON - Chair Kathy Castor of the Select Committee on the Climate Crisis released the following statement on Friday after the Biden Administration released a beta version of the Climate and Economic Justice Screening Tool, which will help federal agencies ensure that environmental justice communities are benefiting from investments in climate solutions and clean energy:
“Once again, President Biden is delivering on his commitment to center environmental justice in initiatives to solve the climate crisis and revitalize our infrastructure,” said Chair Castor. “I applaud Council on Environmental Quality Chair Brenda Mallory and her team for their hard work on this innovative Climate and Economic Justice Screening Tool. I look forward to working with President Biden’s team to perfect the tool during its initial deployment phase.”
