The House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis will hold a hearing on "Creating a Climate Resilient America: Overcoming the Health Risks of the Climate Crisis" on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. in Room 1300 of the Longworth House Office Building.

The committee will receive testimony from:

Gina McCarthy (@GinaNRDC), President & CEO, Natural Resources Defense Council (@NRDC). McCarthy has spent over three decades advocating for environmental policies that protect public health, most notably serving as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator under President Barack Obama. In 2015, McCarthy signed President Obama's Clean Power Plan, the first policy in the United States to set limits on carbon pollution from power plants. She joined NRDC in January 2020.

Dr. Aparna Bole (@DrAparnaBole), on behalf of American Academy of Pediatrics (@AmerAcadPeds). Bole is an environmental health and justice advocate who works as a pediatrician at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, a full-service medical facility run by University Hospitals in Cleveland. She also serves as Sustainability Manager for the University Hospitals health system.

Arturo S. Rodriguez, President Emeritus, United Farm Workers  (@UFWupdates). During his 25-year tenure as President of United Farm Workers, Rodriguez served as an advocate for the rights of farm workers, pushing for important protections through community organizing and lobbying on the state and national level. He has championed the fight to prevent workplace injuries and protect farm workers from excessive heat.

Derrick Hollie, Founder, Reaching America (@ReachingUSToday). Hollie is the founder of Global Advertising 1st and Reaching America, a non-profit organization with a focus on African American outreach. He has over 25 years of experience in advertising and marketing.
