Kathy Castor (FL14 and “Cigar City”) provided her official comments today to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regarding the legal basis to exclude “premium cigars” from a proposed FDA rule. U.S. Rep. Castor cites the fact that premium cigars are not marketed to children, job impacts and the preservation of family-run businesses among other relevant factors for the FDA to consider to preserve jobs that are central to Tampa’s identity and cultural heritage as “Cigar City.” The FDA deadline for comments is July 25, 2018. |
